Small hand thrown lidded pots.
These little textured vessels are that little joy in your home for securing your stash of sugar, slat, honey, herbs or your little hidding place for your secret potions.
Ive thrown a limited batch on the wheel, having fun with the lovely textural qualities during the making process leaving deep groves etched into the body of clay to later shine through the glaze.
The narrow base of the pots give a lovely sense of balnce complemeting the rich bellys creating lovely jars as the lids sit proudly on the top.
I start to sense that working at the pottery window that the Brighton Dome and Royal Pavillion architecture is finding a way to creep into my work as `i see a similarity to the dome peaks and towers in the lids.
Each pot is stamped by the makers mark.
