Spend an enjoyable and calming pottery class in Potters Thumb - Naxxar while creating your own clay creations at the wheel. This two-hour craft class is designed to accommodate novices seeking to acquire new skills. Participants will have ample opportunity to apply newly acquired techniques and produce their own one-of-a-kind pottery. Mark is not only an incredible potter but also the founder of Potters Thumb, the pottery studio that you will be welcomed into for this workshop. He will be your guide and guide you through the process of learning pottery. The years of passion, knowledge, and experience that Mark has accumulated are something that he is eager to share with you. You can rest assured that you will receive a great deal of feedback and support because class sizes are kept on a small scale. Mark will be available to answer any questions you may have and to assist you in acquiring all of the necessary skills and techniques that you will need to begin making. By taking this pottery class, you will be able to: Discover everything there is to know about clay and the qualities it possesses. Prepare the clay for the wheel to be used. Center the clay on the wheel head for optimal building. Learn how to pull up the walls of clay to create a vessel. Learn how to lift the pot off the wheel head as efficiently as possible. . Trim the pot. Please take note: The pots you make will need to dry for a few days after firing. You can pick them up a few days later, or we can post them to you for an additional fee. Please notify your teacher if you wish to use this service during your pottery class. . Long nails are not practical when working with clay and will not be possible when working on the wheel because they can cause an obstruction. . Knowledge required. This is ideal for beginners! ! What will you get? Supplies include clay, tools, and firing. Your clay creations will be ready for you to take home. what to bring. Apron or overall to protect you from getting too messy. A large towel. A small notebook or sketchbook. . Please ensure that your nails are trimmed.
